Social Mention (search for all in one place)
|
|
Do you wish you could go to one place and be able to search Websites, Blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and everywhere else in-between for what people are saying about you, your company, and/or your brand? Now you can…
With Social Mention you can now search the entire "universe" for any keyword, just as you would search with Google.
Just go to Socialmention.com and choose whether you want to search blogs only, images, networks, videos, etc, and then enter your keywords and off you go. If you want to ensure that multiple keywords are searched, then add the double quote, e.g. “Gareth Hooper”. If you want to get really specific click ‘or select media sources’ to choose the individual sources.
Once the results come up, you can then use the filters on the left-hand side of the page, and best of all you can use the RSS feed to add this to your favorite RSS reader, such as My Yahoo or iGoogle.
Social Mention have their own widget which can be used to display real-time buzz for any keyword you specify. Although I haven’t found a way for it to work with specific keywords such as “Gareth Hooper” yet. You can see the widget in action below.
The code for this widget is below.
| <script type="text/javascript"><!-- // search phrase (replace this) var smSearchPhrase = 'AdvoCare'; // title (optional) var smTitle = 'Realtime Buzz for keyword AdvoCare'; // items per page var smItemsPerPage = 5; // show or hide user profile images var smShowUserImages = true; // widget font size in pixels var smFontSize = 11; // height of the widget var smWidgetHeight = 400; // sources (optional, comment out for "all") var smSources = ['twitter', 'googleblog', 'facebook', 'delicious', 'youtube', 'digg']; // --></script> <script src="/http://socialmention.com/widgets/buzz.js" type="text/javascript"></script> |
